We just wanted to wish you luck with the oncoming harvest and we look forward to seeing you on site.
The Combined Hampshire, Ridgeway and Wiltshire Grain Merger Presentation Meeting on the 21st of June
Fifty members of Hampshire, Ridgeway and Wiltshire Grain attended a joint meeting on the 21st June to discuss the proposed merger between the three stores.
The boards of the three stores established a joint working committee last year to investigate how the stores might cooperate further in the future.
Members of the working group presented their analysis of an uncertain future and their vision of how a merger could make the stores more resilient to uncertainty and better placed both to carry out their core activities and to take advantage of opportunities to enhance value to members.
A number of questions were raised by members and these will be addressed as part of the ongoing work of the committee.
The next step will be for professional due diligence to be undertaken and the results of this will be reported to members at the stores' AGMs in January 2018.
The stores will continue to consult with members during the process which, if successful, will culminate in members being asked to vote on a merger in June 2018. If recommended by the three boards and approved by members, a merger would take place at the beginning of July 2018.
